Conduct Policy
Edited 20080109
This Code of Conduct for the Got Fruit(?) blog (http://got-fruit.net/blog) is posted to establish the standards of conduct that visitors are required and expected to abide by, while visiting and or posting comments to material found in this blog.
The desire is to maintain a culture that encourages:
- Glory to God
- constructive conversation
- edification to others
- personal expression
Examples of conduct not tolerated:
- malice toward others
- disrespectful comments
- profanity in comments
- blasphemous comments
Got-Fruit(?) is not intended as a forum to stimulate heated debates. If visitors find themselves in an extended conversation with others that is or has lead to a “flame” session, continue such conversation elsewhere. We are all different, therefore unique as to what and how we perceive ideas, concerning religion, theology, civil matters, politics, parenting, etc;, let’s keep this in mind. Agree to respectfully disagree.
PERSONAL EXPRESSION
Personal expression should not be construed or misinterpreted as one having the “right” to exercise “free speech”. Please feel free to disagree or discuss opinions and views of post author(s) and others; do so however, with the rule of courtesy and respect toward others in mind.
CONSTRUCTIVE CONVERSATION
Constructive conversation is and will be subjective to the mediator of the Got Fruit(?) blog. Censorship is practiced, and based on the idea that if material and comments are not Glorifying to God, then the content will be edited or in all likelihood deleted.
The Got Fruit(?) blog administrator(s) take responsibility for our own words and for the comments we allow on our blog.
1. The Got Fruit? blog administrator(s) are committed to the “Civility Enforced” standard: we will not post unacceptable content, and we’ll delete comments that contain it.
Unacceptable content is defined as anything included or linked to that:
- is being used to abuse, harass, stalk, or threaten others
- is libelous, knowingly false, ad-hominem, or misrepresents another person,
- infringes upon a copyright or trademark
- violates an obligation of confidentiality
- violates the privacy of others
- pornographic in nature, or associated with pornographic media, material, servers, from domains etc
“Unacceptable content” is determined and defined on a case-by-case basis, definitions are not limited to this list. If a comment or link is delted, an explanation will be given. [We reserve the right to change these standards at any time with no notice.]
2. We won’t say anything online that we wouldn’t say in person.
3. When the Got Fruit (?) administrator(s) encounter conflicts and misrepresentation in the blogosphere, an effort to talk privately and directly to the person(s) involved will be made –or an intermediary will be found ,who can do so–before we publish any posts or comments about the issue.
4. When we believe someone is unfairly attacking another, we take action, when someone who is publishing comments or blog postings that are offensive, we’ll tell them so privately, if possible–see above) and ask them to publicly make amends. If those published comments could be construed as a threat, and the perpetrator doesn’t withdraw them and apologize, we will cooperate with law enforcement to protect the target of the threat.
5. Anonymous comments are not allowed. A valid email address is required before one can post, though anyone posting a comment may identify themselves with an alias, rather than their real name.
6. Got Fruit (?) ignores the trolls.
It is the policy of Got Fruit(?) to not to respond to derogatory comments about the blog nor derogatory comments directed at persons involved, affiliated or interacting with the blog.
