Philippians,Got-Fruit?,seal,
Philippians 2:1-3

1If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.3Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

No commentary from me, however… check out a post by E. Barrett of R3 who’s got some commentary that goes in this direction.

Grace and peace be with you.

    Thanks for the link. :)

I was reading your Philippians post and it strikes me just how hard it is to “in humility consider others better than yourselves.” That’s going to take some work, lol

I think what Paul may have been stressing is that humility follows once our carnal nature submits to the Holy Spirit. As we’re led more and more by the Holy Spirit, I suspect that ‘being lower” than others isn’t really that big of a deal. Then again, there are those days when folks do put you to the test … :)

Hope you have some opportunities around the corner for a new job.

Grace and peace be with you.
