A Word A Week later

It’s been a little over a week since I last posted, mostly due to staying busy at work.  I had to switch hats at the office, going from my normal daily duties to lending a hand with multimedia development (I’d give more details about my primary job duties however,I’d have to "take you out" after divulging details) .

The office was closed Friday for the 4th of July, but I spent that and most of the weekend cranking out some project files to be reviewed on Monday.  Needless to say there was a bit of pressure that I placed on myself; the expectations for what was to be completed by Monday we’re higher (on my part) than what the Project Manager had in mind.

Putting pressure on myself is something I still wrestle with at times, especially concerning my perceptions of how God views me, my walk with Christ, and my overall Christian attitude.  One reason is that I still remember my sins; the old man is not so long removed that I don’t remember his ways. And yet, if I listen to Scripture,I have God’s word telling me that "my sins" really aren’t mine to dwell on, since He doesn’t.  Something David seemed to have a grasp on:

Psalm 103:8-13
8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious,
       slow to anger, abounding in love.
9 He will not always accuse,
       nor will he harbor his anger forever;
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
       or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
       so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
       so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children,
       so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

Grace and peace be with you.
